colorful festival of Holi - From Malanjkhand India

On the joyous occasion of Holi, the festival of colours, I convey my greetings to the world. The festival of Holi brings joy and happiness, which imbibes the spirit of friendship among people of all faiths - view more photo. Holi

N G Nair Malanjkhand India. From a Copper town in India.

The colorful festival of Holi is celebrated on Phalgun Purnima which comes in February end or early March. Holi festival has an ancient origin and celebrates the triumph of ‘good’ over ‘bad’. The colorful festival bridges the social gap and renew sweet relationships. On this day, people hug and wish each other ‘Happy Holi’.
The spirit of Holi, say historians, are essentially colours. Scriptures say Lord Krishna played Holi with colours made from ‘tesoo’ flowers.

People in many parts of India will be going all out in a daylong burst of revelry, playing with colours, dancing, feasting and following it up with family get-togethers, prayers and cultural soirees in the evening.

The spirit of Holi, say historians, are essentially colours. Scriptures say Lord Krishna played Holi with colours made from ‘tesoo’ flowers. He smeared villagers of Braj Bhumi - the land to which he belonged to in Uttar Pradesh - with coloured powder and sprayed fountains of red, green, yellow and blue water till the towns of Vrindavan, Mathura, Barsana, and Govardhan were bathed in colour.   http://www.geocities.com/hrdngnair/khetri3.html

 Training and Development activity

FOR MORE EFFECTIVE APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING

The Apprentices Act 1961 provides tremendous opportunities for generation of technically competent and skilled work force through training for managing the Industrial Challenges.

What is perhaps lacking is an awareness on the part of people and industries about hoe best the scheme could be utilized for the benefit of organization, individual Apprentice and the Society. The act is always looked at as a law for which the Industry’s tendency is to meet the obligations somehow, and the Govt. approach is to see that the formalities under the act are completed. This attitude is not only preventing Industries from deriving adequate benefits but also harming the Apprentices by their improper development.

There are generally two sources from which Trade Apprentices are selected. One is for ITI’s and the other from High Schools. It is always advantageous for a medium / big Industry to take fresher boys and develop them as per the Industry’s requirement. Of course one has to take care of the overall development of course one has to take care of the over all development of apprentices so that they not only pass in the all India Trade Test but also get absorbed in other Industries if required.
